I see you can set permissions and restrictions on a user basis (e,g., edit, deleting, records) but it would be nice if more details permissions could be set on individual apps. Specifically, my workflow is such where we have permanent locations that get visited regularly where child records are added to a repeatable field each time it is visited. It would be nice to allow users the ability to delete child records but restrict them from deleting the parent record and set that for the entire app and not based on user permissions.

Daniel McCloy In this scenario, you would only want owners (i.e. global admins) to be able to delete the parent records in this app, correct? We are researching this problem and would love to chat in more detail. Are you up for jumping on a 30-minute call to discuss further?

Katie Briggs - I am open to a call and yes, in my scenario, only global admins would be able to delete parent records, but all users could delete child records.

I also need to give individuals special permissions in specific apps. This could be done without changing the current simple role permissions system, in data events, more easily if we could access more metadata about each user.

My suggestions in 'Add more properties to member' would help here if you don't want to make the current security model more complex.
